  ABOUT LITTLE FOOTPRINTS

  HI! I'M PATRICIA.

Little Footprints Childcare El Dorado Hills

I am licensed through the State of California. I am CPR and First Aid Certified and a Credential Preschool Teacher.

I started Little Footprints Childcare because of my own experience with childcare.  I was in search of quality childcare for my son when he was very little and couldn’t find anyone that was trained in the field of infant and toddler care.  So, I decided to get my childcare state license and go back to college with a focus in early childhood education. I continue to take classes yearly for professional growth. I have been involved with the El Dorado County Quality Counts program for many years. I am also a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Being a member allows me to access its diverse collection of professional resources such as ideas for implementing developmentally appropriate practice and fostering strong family engagement. I continue to attend yearly conferences and monthly trainings to support my professional development in early childhood development.

With over 30 years of experience, more than 100 families have entrusted me with caring for their children. I welcome any questions you may have, and I look forward to meeting you and your children and helping them grow!

  YOUR CHILDREN ARE MY
  MAIN FOCUS

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Your child is my focus so I do not conduct any interviews during childcare business hours. This ensures the children are not observed by strangers. This cuts down on the chance of virus transmission, too. Doors are locked for safety and security measures. We are a single level home with no stairs. Outside, I have a fully fenced yard.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

My childcare is a small in-home daycare. Each child receives lots of love and attention with the same teacher/caregiver throughout the day. Infants are in a safe environment away from the toddlers but close enough to see and hear them. This ensures their safety. Daily check in consists of every child’s shoes being left at the door for indoor play and shoes on for outdoor play. Hands are washed frequently and always before and after meal time.

FOOD

I am enrolled with the USDA Food Program. I am monitored, trained and inspected several times a year. I serve three nutritious meals a day. We follow all their guidelines including dietary guidance, lifecycle nutrition food, safety and labeling.

DAILY REPORTING AND COMMUNICATIONS

At the end of the day, parents receive a verbal run down of their child’s day. During the day, I text anything needed for their child, questions or concerns. I also send pictures and videos of the children to parents and post on Facebook with parents’ permission.
